THE ST. MORITZ DESIGN GALLERY
The “St. Moritz Design Gallery” culturally enriches the Serletta car park between the train station, the lake and Badrutt’s Palace Hotel. Along the pedestrian passage from Badrutt’s Palace Hotel down to the lake, there are 31 large illuminated showcases, in which several exhibitions with particularly valuable posters and historical photographs are held every year.
This creates an art gallery that is open 365 days a year and presents current topics to around a million passers-by per year in a mirror of the past.

BIKE TOURS
If you like cycling, you should definitely explore the area around Bivio by bike. There are many kilometres of suitable cycle routes to choose from. Although the climbs here can be a bit challenging, you will be rewarded with many fantastic views of the mountains along the way. If you use an e-bike, even longer routes are no problem.
The Val Surses region has put together some beautiful cycling routes so that there is something for every age and skill level.

BATHING LAKE LAI BARNAGN
What makes a lake a designated bathing lake? Here at Lai Barnagn in Surses, you can see it clearly: It is the wide range of facilities that make this lake a popular destination, especially for families.
The lake offers various depths from 0-3 metres, and from the sunbathing lawn parents have a good view of their children. There is a playground and a covered sand play area for small children. Older children will appreciate mini-golf, beach volleyball or the pump track. And if you just can’t get enough of the water, you can also hire a stand-up paddle, a rowing boat or a pedalo.
Catering is of course provided by the kiosk, but there are also 4 fire pits for barbecuing.

HIKES
It’s really self-explanatory: A holiday here with us should always include a few hikes. Our landscape is beautiful all year round and there are many hiking routes in Bivio and the surrounding area just waiting to be discovered by you!
The interactive hiking map suggests some particularly beautiful hikes.

WINTER HIKING
Our region is also a great place for hiking in winter, as the Val Surses offers 65 kilometres of suitable winter hiking trails. The snow-covered landscape with its lush blanket of snow has a very special charm.
In addition to “normal” hiking, you should definitely try hiking with snowshoes. This makes many more routes available to you – after all, snowshoes were invented specifically to make areas that are impassable in winter accessible.
By the way: If you don’t want to go winter hiking on your own, we recommend a guided hike.

SKIING
Skiing is the classic winter sport and the activity of choice on a winter holiday in Bivio. The ski lift is in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel Grischuna, and the children’s lift is right at our doorstep.
If it’s your first time on skis, you can head to the Bivio sports facilities (Bivio Sportanlagen), as they offer various ski courses. In addition to courses for adults, there are also many children’s courses available. They also offer guided hikes, snowkiting and more. Ski equipment can also be hired there.
If you want to buy ski or sports equipment, you can find it in the Good Time shop, also directly in Bivio.

TOBOGGANING
Those family members who don’t yet dare to ski down the mountains can instead venture out on a sledge. The winter sports area in Bivio includes a toboggan run, that is, a piste for tobogganists only. It is 2.3 kilometres long and of course you can take a drag lift to the starting point, the Camon middle station.
A helmet and good shoes are required for tobogganing (no ski boots). You can hire a sledge at the valley station of the Bivio sports facilities, and it is advisable to book in advance by telephone.

NATURAL ICE RINK
The natural ice rink right in the centre of Bivio is a skating rink that can be used free of charge. It is also available in the dark, as it is floodlit in the evening. Great fun for young and old.
Skates can be hired from the Good Time sports shop.

ST. MORITZ DORF
Suitable for all ages.
The heart of St. Moritz may not be big, but it offers a good opportunity to take a leisurely stroll through the old alleyways, do some shopping and stop for a coffee and cake. We recommend the Hanselmann patisserie. It has been in business since 1894 and is a traditional Swiss patisserie.

LAKE ST. MORITZ
Suitable for all ages.
Our recommendation for anyone visiting St. Moritz for the first time is to visit Lake St. Moritz or Lej da San Murezzan in Rhaeto-Romanic. In summer, you can enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake (40-60 minutes) with a wonderful view of St. Moritz-Dorf. In winter, you can also walk across the frozen lake or skate on the one kilometre long ice rink, which is prepared daily for skaters. A cross-country ski trail also runs right across the lake.
But that’s not all: If the situation allows, you can also look forward to an ice hockey pitch, a curling rink and a small village with deckchairs, beach chairs, music and food stalls. Skijoring lessons are also on offer. Skijoring is a winter sport in which a skier is pulled by a horse on a rope. It has a decades-long tradition on Lake St. Moritz and is celebrated at the annual horse races.
Every winter, famous events also take place on the frozen lake: the White Turf and the snow polo tournament.

LAKE SILVAPLANA
Suitable for all ages.
It is well known that there are many lakes here in the Engadin and Lake Silvaplana is the most popular for water sports enthusiasts, although it is not supervised. Practice the various sports activities at your own risk.

CASTLE CRAP DA SASS
Suitable for all ages.
On the banks of Lake Silvaplana you can also see the Crap da Sass castle (Crap = stone, Romanesque; da Sass = of Sasso, stone, Italian), which was built in 1906.
Via dal Chastè 1
7513 Silvaplana-Surlej

The beautiful village of Sils Maria has inspired many writers and artists, such as Nietsche, Dürrenmatt, Kästner, Chagall, Strauss and David Bowie. But that is not the only reason why it is worth visiting the village: It is simply a pleasure to stroll through its small streets with the typical Engadin houses to Lake Sils and the peninsula. The landscape around Sils is even more impressive in winter when everything is white.
If you need a coffee break to warm up or a small snack to fortify yourself, the Grond Café is the place to go.
You can explore Sils on your own, with a guided tour or with a digital tour via mobile phone.

CARRIAGE RIDE INTO VAL FEX
Suitable for all ages.
You also have to visit the Fex Valley, because the landscape is fabulously beautiful and can be enjoyed in a very special way on a carriage ride.
Several carriages are available on the village square in Sils Maria to take guests to Val Fex. When you get there, you can eat in one of the restaurants or stop for coffee and cake and then take the carriage back or enjoy nature a little longer with a leisurely walk.
We recommend the restaurant in the Hotel Chesa Pool, the first vegetarian restaurant in the Engadin.
